Microsoft mengeluarkan update Windows XP dengan SP3 RC2 atau masih versi uji coba setelah keluarnya RC1. Informasi Patch WinXP SP3 RC2 Build 3300 bisa dibaca di Microsoft Download Center atau TechNet page. Boleh dibilang Windows ini mempunyai fitur Windows Vista dengan memasukkan empat fitur diantara seribu macam perbaikan yang telah banyak diberitakan semenjak debut Windows XP SP2 tiga tahun yang lalu. Untuk mendapatkan SP ini, anda perlu mengunduh sebuah skrip yang akan mengubah registry anda agar Windows Update mengenali komputer anda sebagai kandidat instalasi SP3 RC2.
